Pastor & Mrs. Lloyd L. Watkins, Sr. and Family

Dr. Lloyd L. Watkins, Sr., is a native of Ward, Alabama; and a son of the parsonage.  He received the call to preach at the age of nine (9), and his first pastoral assignment at the age of sixteen (16).  

Pastor Watkins is the recipient of three (3) earned academic degrees:  Bachelor of Arts; Master of Divinity and the Doctor of Ministry.  

He has done further study at:  Dale Carneige Institute, Columbus, Georgia;  and Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama.  

His pastorates have been extensively, in Alabama, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina.  He served also as Presiding Elder of the Anniston District of the Birmingham (Alabama) Conference.

Pastor Watkins' ministry has extended beyond the walls of the local pastorates.  He served an officer in several community organizations and delegate to several denominational and wider church conferences.  Particularly, he was an official C.M.E.  Church delegate to the 17th World Methodist Conference in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in August 1996.  

    He is the devoted husband of Charlene T. Watkins, and a loving father of two adult children: Lloyd, Jr. and Stephanie LaShon.
